Transportation Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Support team leader and Directors with traffic and transport planning proposals;
- Assist in the preparation of Traffic Impact Assessments in Thai and English;
- Assist in transport review of developments including technical tasks as followings:
- Undertake site audits to review transport / development characteristics;
- Review proposed and existing development transport facilities, road and access layouts, traffic circulation, service areas and car parks including recommended design / geometry using swept path software as appropriate;
- Calculation of trip generation and traffic demand forecasting;
- Assessment of traffic impact using software such as SIDRA Intersection;
- Assess public transport requirements, access and layout of public transport facilities;
- Assist with organising traffic surveys and site supervision if necessary;
- Assist with planning (transport) procedures, applications and appeals, public consultations and enquiries;
- Work with the project team to recommend solutions and traffic management improvements, etc.
- Assist in the preparation of public transport planning projects and feasibility studies;
- Prepare the necessary drawings, technical notes and reports in English and in Thai Language as required to meet the needs of a Project;
- Attend meetings internally and externally (including overseas) as required.
Qualifications:
- University degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or recognized university.
- 0-3 years of working experience Transportation and Traffic Engineering Skills
- Good knowledge of Transportation Engineering computer software such as Autodesk desktop, 3D Swept Path Analysis for Vehicular Movement Study
- Good spoken and written English
